Lil Wayne rocks out with the “Prom Queen” and Rick Ross gets “Magnificent”

Lil Wayne makes his rockstar status official with his first single off his upcoming Rock project Rebirth. The album was rumored to have been shelved but it is still being released on May 19th. The video reminds me of the “All About the Benjamin’s (Rock Remix)” with the high school theme meshed with a Rock/Hip Hop track. After hearing this track for over a month, I still have mixed feelings about it. I love the instruments, but I’m not feeling the vocals too much.

Rick Ross’ official first single “Magnificent” premiered today via WorldStarHipHop. Ross takes us to a horse race with his latest collabo with John Legend. The upscale video compliments the smooth track appearing on his forthcoming Deeper Than Rap album due out April 21.
