The Game – Big Money (Produced by Cool & Dre)
First we heard the street single to the R.E.D. Album which is the Timbaland produced “Krazy” with Gucci Mane. Now the mainstream single is here, titled “Big Money”. Originally it was rumored to have been produced by Dr. Dre (who Game would like to produce on the album), but it is actually produced by Cool & Dre.
Game uses Willie D of the Geto Boys famous opening line “I make big money, I drive big cars/Everybody know me, it’s like I’m a movie star” for the single’s hook. What are your thoughts on the track?
The Game feat. Gucci Mane & Timbaland – Krazy (Produced by Timbaland)
It seems that ever since Gucci got placed on MTV’s Hottest MC’s list he’s been in popular demand. He’s dropped four official mixtapes (keep in mind this was last month), had appearances here and there, and now he’s appearing on The Game’s first single titled “Krazy”. Along with Gucci, The Game gets Timbaland on the track to handle production. Perfect way to get your single out there. The R.E.D. Album is dropping December 8th!
New music: 50 Cent’s Crime Wave & The Game’s Heaven
Earlier this week 50 Cent stopped by Big Boy’s radio show to discuss beef, Jay-z, and the possibility of recording with The Game. In the video below, he states he wouldn’t work with The Game in the future, check it out:
Though the two once made great Hip Hop material in the past, it seems like they’ll never reconsile their differences. Today, two new tracks hit the net per artist, which brought me to today’s Dope or Nope entry. Inside we got links to 50 Cent’s “Crime Wave” and The Game’s “Heaven”. Out of the two’s careers, who do you think put out better music? Get Rich or Die Tryin or The Documentary? The Massacre or Doctor’s Advocate? L.A.X. or Curtis? Not to mention, they are both dropping their fourth albums before the end of 2009.
The Game & Ludacris – Pussy Monsters
The same dudes who brought you “Ya Heard” from L.A.X., “Call Up the Homies” off Theatre of the Mind, and the Kanye assisted “Where U At?”; The Game and Ludacris collab once again to bring you “Pussy Monsters”. Scott Storch (who’s been lowkey for a minute) came thru to deliver production on this joint.
The Game feat. Chris Brown, Diddy, Polow Da Don, Mario Winans, Usher & Boyz II Men – Better On The Other Side
Less than 24 hours after the unfortunate passing of Michael Jackson, The Game hooks up with Puff, Polow Da Don, and various R&B artists for a tribute track. The MJ tribute is produced by Aftermath’s DJ Khalil (“Kinda Like a Big Deal”, “I’ll Still Kill”) and was posted on The Game’s Twitter. Very impressive track, and the lyrics are on point.
I’m not going to front, I miss the old crunk days. Lil Jon had the club joints on lock and if you had some subs in your trunk, a Lil Jon album was a must. This time around, Lil Jon hooks up with The Game and Ice Cube to sound off on censorship in music. On a side note, what ever happened to Crunk Rock?
Im’a throw this in just for the hell of if it… Vodpod videos no longer available.
Ex-G-Unit members link up with DJ Haze to go in on haters. The Game switches his style up on this one sounding a bit like Too Short. Hit up the full story to peep the rest. Read the rest of this entry »
