Dope or Nope 11/10: Khaled & Friends Are At It Again

10 11 2009

DJ Khaled feat. Rick Ross, Drake, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Usher (Produced by The Runners)
Dj Khaled Fed Up
This joint leaked a couple of weeks ago featuring only Jeezy, Drake, Rick Ross, and Usher. It looked as if the feature list is too short for a DJ Khaled single, and next thing you know Wayne is now added to the list. Khaled continues to follow the same formula from “We Takin Over”, “I’m So Hood”, and “Out Here Grindin'” with The Runners providing production to the track as usual. Dj Khaled’s fourth release Victory is expected to drop early 2010.

Polls Is Talkin’: The Official Song of the Summer Is…

2 09 2008

As we say goodbye to Summer of ’08, its only right that we highlight the song of the summer. Based on a poll right here on Hip Hop A.D., readers had to vote for the official summer anthem. With a million and one rappers using the instrumental, crazy radio and video spins, a album selling “a milli” in one week, its only obvious that Lil Wayne’s “A Milli” is the official summer banger.
Here are the top 5 summer songs based off the poll results:

1. Lil’ Wayne – A Milli
2. Young Jeezy feat. Kanye West – Put On
3. Nas – Hero
4. DJ Khaled feat. Various Artists – Out Here Grindin’
5. Ace Hood feat. Rick Ross – Cash Flow

If you disagree with the poll results, take the proactive approach and participate in the polls. Hit up the latest poll to voice your opinion.

Seeing is Believing 7/23: New Gnarls Barkley, DJ Khaled feat. Rick Ross & others, and Plies Videos

24 07 2008

Gnarls Barkley – Who’s Gonna Save My Soul
This video is from left field, but I’m feelin’ it. The heart scene reminds me of that famous scene from Alien/Spaceballs. Check out the J’s on the heart. If you’ve been sleepin’ on The Odd Couple album, you definitely need to check it out. Its one of the better and innovative albums that dropped this year.

Dj Khaled feat. Rick Ross, Plies, Trick Daddy, Boosie, and Ace Hood

This track is decent. But seriously, did we need another one of these Khaled and friends joints? As if “We Takin Over”, “Im So Hood”, “100 Million Dollars” and others weren’t enough. What happened to Lil’ Wayne’s verse? We Global will be in stores Sept. 16th.

Plies feat. Jamie Foxx and The Dream – Please Excuse My Hands

The self-proclaimed goon is back with his third single from Defninition of Real. This joint features vocals from The Dream & Jamie Foxx. Another track for the ladies.
