Newcomer Wale (pronounced Wah-Lay) drops his highly anticipated mixtape Back to the Feature with 9th Wonder. This feature-heavy mixtape has appearances from Joe Budden, Talib Kweli, Young Chris, Beanie Sigel, Bun B, and many more. As far as production goes, 9th Wonder handled a majority of it, but Cool & Dre and Mark Ronson provided beats as well. Last week Fif announced that he will be dropping his War Angel LP today which will serve as a prequel to his fifth album (if you include Power of the Dollar) Before I Self Destruct. The LP features “Ok, Alright”, which debuted on Hot97 radio a couple weeks ago, and only one guest appearance; Robin Thicke. The mixtape is supposed to be 50’s best on the mixtape circuit. Call me a hater if you want, but I’m surprised at Soulja Boy’s progression. I thought as soon as “Crank Dat” died down he would be just another one hit wonder. Since then Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em’s been putting out catchy singles making himself remain relevant. This time he links up with Mr Gangsta Grillz himself, DJ Drama; for his Twitter themed mixtape titled “Follow Me”. The mixtape features appearances by his new affiliates Gucci Mane and OJ Da Juiceman. He’s currently working on his new album The DeAndre Way that is set to drop this year.
