Kanye Names Album & Sets a Release Date

While many thought Kanye was going to go with his original plan of naming his album Good Ass Job (it was supposed to be in the sequence of attending school, then graduating), Kanye has decided to name is album 808’s & Heartbreak. The lead single “Love LockDown” was peformed this past Sunday at the VMA’s (click here if you’ve been under a rock and haven’t seen or heard it). Sounds interesting. I’m curious to see what Ye will drop on this one. 808’s & Heartbreak will his in stores right in time for the holiday season on December 16th. Is it me, or do the save all the dope shit for the last quarter?

UPDATE: 808’s & Heartbreak is rumored to be similar to Andre 3000’s The Love Below, and will have auto-tune (T-Pain’s signature style) through the entire album. I love The Love Below, but I’m not too hyped about the auto-tune. T-Pain definitely created a monster, but leave it up to Mr. West it will come out amazing.

MF Doom to Drop a New Album

Masked MC MF Doom is set to drop a new album titled “Born Into This” on October 21st. This will be his first album since 2005’s “The Mouse and the Mask”, his collaboration album with DangerMouse; recorded under the name DangerDoom. The album will feature production the late J Dilla, Dangermouse, and more than likely Doom himself. It will also feature appearances from Wu-veterans Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. Speaking of which, where in the hell is the Swift & Changeable album that Doom & Ghost were supposed to drop together?
