Joe Budden preps his newest digital album Escape Route being released on Amalgam records. This will be the third digital release from Budden, with Halfway House and Padded Room being the predecessors. Guest features are limited as usual featuring appearances from Young Chris and the Slaughterhouse family. 9th Wonder, Chad West, Streetrunner, and others lend production to Escape Route. To add to the Blueprint 3 hype, the rumored tracklisting and album cover for Jay’s forthcoming album hit the net via Jay-z.com. If the tracklisting is accurate, then it will feature appearances by Nas, Drake, KiD CuDi, Mr. Hudson, and of course the Rihanna and Kanye assisted single. A majority of the production was handled by Kanye West, but Timbaland, No I.D. (who produced the street single D.O.A.), and even MGMT pop up for addtional production. If this track listing is official, this should be a dope album. What are your thoughts on the tracks and cover?
Blueprint III in stores September 11th
After rumors of being shelved, Lil Wayne still manages to prep his experimental album Tha Rebirth. Earlier this year, Wayne gave listeners the first dose of his new “Rock” sound with “Prom Queen” which received mixed reviews from fans. The album features appearances from The Game, Mary J. Blige, Lenny Kravitz, Lloyd, Drake, and the Young Money family. As far as production goes, Cool & Dre, frequent collaborator DJ Infamous, and others. The album has been compared to the classic Aquemini album from OutKast, and Coldplay’s Viva La Vida. Tha Rebirth will be in stores August 18th on Cash Money/Universal.

I recently wrote a blog about a new Wu-Tang album that is supposed to drop this month (click here to read it). Sorry for the confusion, but it’s more like a compilation album. Instead of featuring all 9 Wu-Tang members, it will feature core members like Raekwon, Ghostface, RZA, Inspecktah Deck, and U-God. Chamer Music Vol. 1 will feature appearances by AZ, M.O.P., Havoc, and others. It will still drop on the 30th of this month, and it will be executively produced by RZA. Bases off a poll asking what is the most highly anticipated Fall release, Kanye West won by a long shot. It was obvious that that was the most hyped since 808s & Heartbreak has been the biggest topic on all hip hop sites. With everyone curious to see if this album will be a hit or miss, it will definitely do good numbers. 808s and Heartbreak will easily be one of the more interesting albums this year.
