Takin’ Em Back – 10/17

17 10 2008

Amil feat. Jay-z, Beanie Sigel, & Memphis Bleek – 4 Da Fam

I saw a thread recently with someone saying they missed the old Roc-A-Fella days, and this joint was the first that came to mind. I loved that era in hip hop when everyone was cliquing up. You had the Ruff Ryders crew, Ca$h Money, Murder Inc., and of course The Roc. Watching this vid made the Rocafella crew seem promising, but they slowly disbanded as the years went by. Amil is rumored to work at K-Mart, Beanie Sigel developed a love/hate relationship with the Roc, Bleek’s still on the Roc but he’s been lowkey. Eventhough there was that Garnier Fructis commercial he did (I had to up this).
And the Jigga man, owns the Roc and is still putting out dope music. Anyways, peep the vid. This shit makes me want to pop in my copy of “Backstage”.

Dope or Nope 10/10 – Uncle Murder & Jay-z DJ Khaled & Fat Joe Diss (Supposedly)

10 10 2008

Roc-a-Fella Brooklynaires Uncle Murder & Jay-z bring you the “Untitled” track which is rumored to be a diss towards Fat Joe and Dj Khaled. No word on if this is an official diss track, but someone of Hov’s caliber shouldn’t even be beefing with dudes like Khaled and Fat Joe.

I’m definitely looking forward to this track!

Polls Is Talkin’: The Best Rapper Alive Is…

16 09 2008

The people have spoken. Based on a recent poll asking “Who really is the best rapper alive”, there still was no answer since the results were all ties. The main three were the two self-proclaimed “best rappers alive”, while the other was one of my favorite MC’s of all time, Andre 3000. Peep the results below:

Best News I Heard All Day: Kanye & Jigga Set To Drops Albums This Year!

5 09 2008

It was more obvious that Jay was dropping Blueprint 3 this year since “Jockin Jay-z” has been getting heavy radio play, a rumored track titled “Victory” is said to leak soon, and he’s (along with Kanye) featured on “Swagger Like Us” which has the internet going nuts. But to everyone’s surprise, Kanye West is dropping an album this year! This is the quote directly from MTV UK:

“Both Jay and Kanye are set to release new albums before the end of 2009. It’s well known Jigga has been working on a new LP- likely to be called The Blueprint 3 – with another West produced track “Jockin’ Jay Z” already leaked to the web. Kanye was not expected to release a new album in 2008 but the follow up to Graduation now seems likely to be with us in the near future!”

Kanye’s new single titled “Love LockDown” will be available for download Sept. 8 (bloggers are going to be all over this when it leaks), while the album will drop in December. I’m wondering if he’s going to go with Good Ass Job as he planned in the past.

Seeing is Believing 9/2: New G Malone, Swagger Like Us, & More!

Swagger Like Us (Fan Made)

Not the official tissue but a fan made video (a good one at that) of the track that leaked a couple of weeks ago.

It’s So Cooold In The D

I dont know why I’m posting this so late, but it’s been stuck in my head for a minute. I know you’re thinkin’ too bad for me. It’s supposed to be a serious track but I couldn’t help but laugh at this.
