Drake – Heartbreak Drake Pt. 3: The First Semester

After building more anticipation as his career goes by, Drake’s third installment of the Heartbreak Drake series is here. This week we heard new joints like “Scriptures” and “Hurt”, and they are both appearing on The First Semester; along with other new tracks, recent features, and remixes. Jay-z, Birdman, and Colin Munroe make appearances on The First Semester.
Just a lil somethin to bump before you watch the fight!

Pac Div – Whiplash/Young Black Male
West Coast trio Pac Div drops their visuals for and “Whiplash” and “Young Black Male” off their Church League Champions project. One “Whiplash” Pac Div rolls thru the streets of LA shot in black n white, and they tie in “Young Black Male” by getting pulled over by the LAPD.
Shout outs to my homie Ayla for demadin’ more Pac Div here on SpazAppeal!
I heard this joint on Pandora earlier today and it took me right back to when I was a young’n. Though Coolio has been making random comedy and reality TV appearances in the 00’s, he was once a big name in the 90’s. His first two albums were highly popular making today’s throwback joint one of his biggest hits. “Gangsta’s Paradise” was the theme for the Dangerous Minds film and also the name of his sophomore LP. Weird Al cleverly parodied the track which pissed Coolio off, and didn’t want to accept Weird Al’s apology. Just for that, I’m throwing in “Amish Paradise”, Weird Al’s rendition of “Gangsta’s Paradise”.

Beanie Sigel feat. 50 Cent – I Go Off

The first collaboration between Beanie and 50 is finally here. As promised, “I Go Off” premiered today, Friday the 13th. Beanie gets back on his grimey tip with Fif with an old school vibe. What’s a new 50 feature without shots fired? Fif goes in on Jay at the end of the track of course.
Wale – Attention Deficit

2009 was the year of new MC’s; Drake gained a mainstream buzz with his So Far Gone mixtape, Charles Hamilton dropped his digital release, and Asher Roth and KiD CuDi released their debuts. Then there’s Interscope’s newest signee Wale, the first rapper representing D.C.. After heating up the mixtape circuit with projects like The Mixtape About Nothing and Back to the Feature and being managed by Jay’s Roc Nation label; listeners wondered if Wale was ready to take on the mainstream Hip Hop scene. After a couple of push backs, his debut album Attention Deficit is here; the real question is, does Attention Deficit hold your attention?
Gucci Mane – My Own Worst Enemy (Produced by Drumma Boy)

Life imitated art today with Gucci Mane being sentenced to a 12 month bid (6 months on good behavior) for probation violation. Unfortunately he will be incarcerated during the release of his anticipated The State Vs. Radric Davis album dropping December 8th.
I’m leaving you with this new joint that surfaced today by Gucci titled “My Own Worst Enemy”. Gucci gets at his rival Young Jeezy, and fellow ATLien T.I..

Clipse – Til The Casket Drops

The Clipse collab with New York artist KAWS once again for the album cover of their third LP Til The Casket Drops. KAWS is also responsible for creating three of their single covers and also the cover of the Complex Magazine where the duo was featured. While I’m a fan of animated album covers and KAWS’ work, this one is average. In my opinion it’s ideal for a single or a album promo, but as an official album cover it could’ve been hotter. Regardless, I know the album will be a banger. Til The Casket Drops will be in stores December 8th.
