To continue adding to their hits from the E.N.D. album, Black Eyed Peas release a video for “Meet Me Half Way”. Prior to the video release today, a clip from this video has been seen on DirecTV’s latest promo ad. Though some may criticize the group for switching their style of music, BEP continues to make quality music with joints like this.
I’m dropping two fresh and new Neptunes produced joints! First is “Soldier” by N.E.R.D., and the other is Wale’s new single featuring Pharrell!

My boy Brandon sent me this joint via email from Def Jam’s newest signee YG from Compton. Get to know YG and peep his debut track “Toot It & Boot It”.
Los Angeles is boiling over with lots of talent ranging from singers, producers and rappers. YG is one of these rare talents. Hailing from Compton, CA YG has established his brand Pushaz Inc and his success has been phenomenal building a large street buzz with songs including “Take It Back”, Pussy Killer, and the hit “Toot It And Boot It” that quickly spread in the LA club scene and all over the net. Rawse comes through with the fourth official video off of his latest album Deeper Than Rap. “Lay Back” features Robin Thicke and was produced by frequent collaborators, The Runners, increasing the mass appeal of his album. Though videos are still being released from the album, Ross is preparing his fourth album Teflon Don, which is expected to be out in 2010.
With the release of the blaxploitation Comedy “Black Dynamite” dropping this Friday, I decided to dedicate this week’s Chick of the Week to Pam Grier; who was one of the main attractions of blaxploitation films in the 70’s. For people who were born after the 1970’s like myself, you are full aware of Pam Grier by hearing her referenced in Black media, and from people who grew up in that era. Though Ms. Grier is still looking good at the age of 60, people will always remember her for being the iconic sex symbol of the 70’s.
Michael Jackson – This is It
It’s still hard to believe the King of Pop is gone and here is the single off of the upcoming, highly anticipated documentary under the same title. “This is It” will be in theaters October 28th, and it will be MJ’s final concert and rehearsal footage. Tickets for the film sold out in approximately 2 hours, while fans waited up to 3 days to receive tickets. Fans of Michael Jackson will definitely appreciate this film and remember his legacy. Long live MJ!
Gucci Mane & DJ Drama – The Movie 3-D: The Burrprint!
After slight anticipation, the new Gucci Mane & DJ Drama mixtape is finally here! The Burrprint! is Gucci’s third release in his “Movie” series with Dj Drama. Wale – Fly Away
Before I get my weekend started, I’m leaving you with this new Wale (Wah-Lay, not Whale) joint he posted on his Twitter this morning. Though he stated that today wasn’t the best of days, he still brought a brand new joint for his fans. He flips Lenny Kravitz’s “Fly Away” for the hook as he drops some deep rhymes. His debut Attention: Deficit will be in stores November 10th.

I recently noticed the other day that there is a lack of OutKast material on this here blog, so I’m posting the video for one of their early joints that made me a fan. Though Kast introduced themselves to the world with their debut Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik, their sophomore album put them in the limelight, and helped branded their style of creativity and lyricism. To kick off their extraterrestrial themed album ATLiens, here is today’s throwback joint, “Elevators (Me & You)”. Classic, wouldn’t you agree?
