Clipse – Til The Casket Drops

The Clipse collab with New York artist KAWS once again for the album cover of their third LP Til The Casket Drops. KAWS is also responsible for creating three of their single covers and also the cover of the Complex Magazine where the duo was featured. While I’m a fan of animated album covers and KAWS’ work, this one is average. In my opinion it’s ideal for a single or a album promo, but as an official album cover it could’ve been hotter. Regardless, I know the album will be a banger. Til The Casket Drops will be in stores December 8th.
DJ Khaled feat. Rick Ross, Drake, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Usher (Produced by The Runners)

This joint leaked a couple of weeks ago featuring only Jeezy, Drake, Rick Ross, and Usher. It looked as if the feature list is too short for a DJ Khaled single, and next thing you know Wayne is now added to the list. Khaled continues to follow the same formula from “We Takin Over”, “I’m So Hood”, and “Out Here Grindin'” with The Runners providing production to the track as usual. Dj Khaled’s fourth release Victory is expected to drop early 2010.

Raekwon & Lyfe Jennings take us to “Catalina”
Snoop puts us up on “Snoops State of Mind”
While we still wait for the highly anticpated Dre album titled Detox, I decided to post the classic “Forgot About Dre” as today’s throwback. The beat is insane, Em’s verse, even more crazy! Aside from this track, the whole Chronic 2001 was an amazing album making it one of the best Rap albums to have been released in the past two years. With the anticipation for Detox, it’s impossible to say we’ve “forgot about Dre”.
Dr. Dre feat. Eminem – Forgot About Dre

Gucci Mane has built his buzz this year and he’s finally dropping his forthcoming album The State Vs. Radric Davis. The album will feature his current singles “Wasted” with Plies and the Usher assisted “Spotlight”. As far as guest appearances, Snoop, Soulja Boy, Mariah Carey, Rick Ross, Yung Joc and others. As far as production, Scott Storch, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Tricky Stewart, The Runners, and more producers lend production for Gucci. Gucci Mane’s album drops December 8th.

50 Cent – Stretch (Crime Wave Pt. 2)
50 drops the follow up to his crime spree on “Crime Wave” with “Stretch”. The video opens up with Fifty standing outside of his homeboy’s door so he can take down one of his jumpoffs. Fif waits patiently and then decides to get back to the money. Instead of 50 bodying niggas through different boroughs, you get a look at how Fif bags crack and gets his income. The video ends with a cliffhanger ending paving the way for the next street video. Before I Self Destruct will be in stores November 16th.
Gucci Mane – Spotlight (feat. Usher) Vodpod videos no longer available.
Consider this video Gucci’s introduction to mainstream Hip Hop. Though Gucci has been around for years, he’s getting treatment like he’s a new artist with the numerous features and high demand for his mixtapes. He’s had underground hits like “Pillz”, “Freaky Girl”, and “So Icey”; but “Spotlight” is his first attempt at going mainstream with an Usher feature and a Polow Da Don beat. His newest album The State Vs. Radric Davis will be in stores December 8th.
As some suspected, Beanie Sigel has officially signed to G-Unit. Last week, Beanie Sigel put out a diss track to Jay-z airing out his lack of support and shady business. After 50 put his two cents in and co-signed Beanie, they linked up for an interview to discuss moving to G-Unit. This would be a great career move for Beanie since the gutter sounds of the Unit compliment Sigel’s street repertoire. When Beanie was with the Roc he was the grimiest member making him more suitable for more hardcore labels like G-Unit.
