Less than a year ago I wrote a blog about Asher Roth who was still fairly new onto the hip hop scene. Mixtape Madness: 50 Cent’s War Angel

Last week Fif announced that he will be dropping his War Angel LP today which will serve as a prequel to his fifth album (if you include Power of the Dollar) Before I Self Destruct. The LP features “Ok, Alright”, which debuted on Hot97 radio a couple weeks ago, and only one guest appearance; Robin Thicke. The mixtape is supposed to be 50’s best on the mixtape circuit. Born Dayz: Happy Birthday Pac (1971-1996)

The legendary Tupac Shakur would’ve made 38 on this day. The late MC passed away almost 12 years ago in a fatal shooting that still remains unsolved. 2pac is a legend in the hip hop community, and one of the most influential figures of our time being a rapper, poet, actor, and an activist.

UPDATE – Best News I Heard All Day: New Wu-Tang Album Coming Soon!

I recently wrote a blog about a new Wu-Tang album that is supposed to drop this month (click here to read it). Sorry for the confusion, but it’s more like a compilation album. Instead of featuring all 9 Wu-Tang members, it will feature core members like Raekwon, Ghostface, RZA, Inspecktah Deck, and U-God. Chamer Music Vol. 1 will feature appearances by AZ, M.O.P., Havoc, and others. It will still drop on the 30th of this month, and it will be executively produced by RZA. Ever since she hit the news for dating Kanye West, she’s been appearing on numerous photos online, events, and she’s even slated to appear in Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” video. After first appearing in Luda’s “I Know What Them Girls Like” video, she received attention from everyone because of her unique, bold image. Not many women can rock a shaved head and still have sex appeal, but Amber Rose manages to do it. Aside from her rare image, Amber Rose has a bangin’ backside, and a nice pair of C cups. 2009 NBA Champions – Los Angeles Lakers

Last night the Lakers closed out the NBA finals by putting out the Orlando Magic 99 to 86. It was bound to happen since the Lakers led the series 3-1, making game 5 the final game of the series. After the victory, Laker fans showed their appreciation ironically by tearing up the streets of Downtown LA. The Laker parade will be this Wednesday at 11:00AM starting from the Staples Center ending at the Coliseum.
Big ups to the Lakers for their 16th championship and Kobe Bryant being the NBA Finals MVP! Great season.
