Takin’ Em Back – 7/31

31 07 2009

Fabolous – Holla Back (Young’n)

In honor of the release of Loso’s Way this week, today’s throwback joint is Fabolous’ “Young’n”. This video brings back memories of when I was a Young’n in High School and the trends of the beginning of the Millennium. Back in 01 throwbacks were fly, 2-ways were the sickest mobile devices, and people were Harlem Shakin’. All of these trends were captured in today’s vid!

Dope or Nope 7/30 – Eminem Vs. Mariah & Nick

30 07 2009

Eminem – The Warning
Mariah Carey Obsessed
Throughout Eminem’s career he’s made references to his past relationship with Mariah Carey. On his most recent album Relapse, he wished her Husband Nick Cannon “luck with the fuckin’ whore” on “Bagpipes From Baghdad”. In defense to his wifey, Cannon retaliated verbally about the songs quality and how Em needs to let him and Mariah’s history remain in the past.
Recently Mariah dropped the video for her first single, “Obsessed”; about dudes with obsessive behavior towards women with subliminal’s towards Em. To top it off, she even disguised herself to look Eminem-esque in the music video (pictured above). The video sparked this diss titled “The Warning” where Em goes in on Mariah and Nick.

She’s also appeared on “Law & Order” and Chris Rock’s “I Think I Love My Wife”. Aside from her work history, Suelyn has nice lips, a pretty face, and a well proportioned body. Takin’ Em Back – 7/24

24 07 2009

Crucial Conflict – Hay
This was my joint way back when! Of course as a young’n I didn’t fully get it, but I still thought this was a banger. The quality isn’t the best but peep The Box (remember that?) captions at the bottom, and don’t dare call in for a video. Crucial Conflict was a group of four emcee’s from the Chi who had a fast style of rhyming similar to Twista and Bone Thugs. Their debut album The Final Tic went Gold off this single alone. On a sidenote, where has Crucial Conflict been?

It’s been a while since I posted something since I’ve been busy with work, school, and side hustles. But now I’m back on my grind and what a better way to get back into the swing of things with a new Jay single?

Jay drops his mainstream single “Run This Town” with Mr. West and Rihanna. Originally Drake was supposed to be featured on Hov’s lead single, but unexpectedly Jay announced that the first single will feature Rhi and Kanye. Kanye drops a verse and handles production on the track, while Rihanna blesses the hook. Blueprint III in stores September 11th, eight years after the original Blueprint.

13 07 2009

rosaacosta1
Last week’s Chick(s) of the Week were the lovely ladies of the “Best I Ever Had” video. The entry turned out to be a success making it one of my most visited blogs here at Spaz Appeal (click here to view the blog). Out of all the beautiful women who made up the female basketball team, Team Drake; Rosa Acosta proved to be the MVP.
The Dominican Model has gained more attention from the video, and since then she’s appeared on Angela Yee’s Lip Service, several music videos, and even footage of her stretching. Rosa hails from Dominican Republic and she is also a ballet dancer and has a Bachelor degree in Art. Continue reading to peep more pics and some Rosa’s infamous stretching videos.
